You are invited on an East End gallery tour with I Know What I Like, to check out three solo shows that have attracted a lot of attention on the Shoreditch art scene. We will start at the Pure Evil Department Store with "Distorsions" by Mr. Cenz, a prolific graffiti writer who paints women portraits in a heavily graffiti-influenced style.
Then we move to the Aqua Regalia solo show by Faith47 at the Old Truman Brewery. The South African artist is best known for her large, delicate street murals whose aesthetics she incorporated in this exhibition. The space is set up to look and feel like a shrine, so it looks like we are in for an immersive experience.
The day will finish at the bottom of Brick Lane with a visit to Word to Mother's solo show at Stolen Space Gallery: "Too blessed to be stressed". The street influence is also powerful in his work, playing with textures, calilgraphies and layers for a quite distinctive look.
There will be lots of street art to see between the three galleries, so it looks like we're in for a pleasant, art-filled afternoon.
